Uh Oh Windows won't boot!

Thread Starter
Ok so I installed kubuntu as a second operating system on my pc. I used kubuntus partitioning program to repartition my hard drive. Once it was finished I rebooted and wanted to go into Windows make sure everything was good. Well it wasn't. I selected it to boot, and it came up only saying "loading" or something like that. It was taking awhile, so I went downstairs, got some cereal, ate the cereal, came back up, and it was still on the screen. I have no idea what to do!

And if safe mode doesn't work, try selecting last known good configuration.

I would, but I cant get into that. Its only giving me the multiple options for kubuntu, and only listing windows under "other os". I can get into command prompt, but I believe it is now off the linux kernel (don't know if I'm saying that right).

EDIT: I actually wouldn't mind only having kubuntu, but...
1. I'm not very familiar with it
2. My media is all on my Windows
3. I play CSS, Fear, Rainbow 6, etc

1. you can learn thats half the fun
2. linux can read from ntfs and fat32 file systems, that isn't a problem
3. good luck, some people use WINE for windows emulation, but i don't think it has 3d support for games and stuff

well its actually not username@compname

Its Gimp>

and ya, I know 1 and 2 aren't an issue. I know eventually I will move entirely to linux... when I've had my fun gaming.

Ok my linux console crashed . I installed a beta driver from nvidia which gave me warnings about being unstable, but it wouldnt dl the other one. Anyways, my friend has a hard drive that I let him borrow awhile ago and he is going to give it back, so is there any chance that deleting the kubuntu partition on my hdd will fix my windows? Right now that is the most important to me because all my stuff is on it.

ok so I decided to delete the partition of kubuntu, since it wasn't running anyway. Now it gives me a grub error when its booting. How do I switch it back to dos?

Edit: would it be

fixboot c:
fixmbr

in Windows recovery? I don't have the cd with me, so it will have to wait 'til tomorrow.
