Was reading some of the reviews on my incoming EVGA 680i A1 version, and noticed alot of DOA boards, has anyone had these problems, if not, how has yours been performing?
My Evga 680i was an excellent board. Stock NB cooling and I was 480MHz FSB stable 24/7.

So quick question then:

Whats the difference between the A-1, T-1, and the A-R

Trying to recomend one to a buddy, for his build.

Thanks much.

Its fairly complicated how they did it, basically the product names that end in R cannot support quad core overclocking, somewhat of a *whoops* by eVGA. They allowed the rma and trade for a quad supported board if you got one of these, and they renamed the TR to the "special edition". the difference between the A and the T is the package contents, they are the same board, but the A version contains many more accessories and a hardcopy of the manual.

Check out this site for more detailed info.

And don't get this confusion confused with the TL boards, they are entirely different then the regular 680i boards. The TL's are not recommended for OCing.
