Thread Starter
Hey everyone, I have x64 XP and I want an antivirus but I don't know of any that are 64bit compatible. Anyone have an Idea?

Not sure, you could probably find quite a few x64 compatible viruses though...

I'd imagine that most of the "big" name AV makers have x64 compatible/compatibility!

usually, the better the edition, the less resources they require. If you take corporate versions for example, their code is highly optimized which make them really light on the system.

I'm going to recommend NOD32 over avast. It scores higher on all the anti-virus charts, while its not free it is MUCH better and also takes less resources.

I've had it for 4 years and not a single virus has got through it.

Avast blocks EVERYTHING. When i Install something and it installs spyware, it actually detects it, when i visit a site and it has weird scripts or those spycookies, it detects them. I've never had to try any other. I used to work for Bell Canada, and when customers would call complaining about their Microsoft MSN security asking for alternatives, I would suggest avast or AVG, and would clearly tell them we do not support it ever!
