What are your currently idle and load temps?

Some would try out for a low idle and some would say idle temps means nothing.

Do not exceed 60C load temps. Some limit to 55C load temps.

Temp Monitors:
CoreTemp
TAT

Those two programs should be exact or 1~2C off. If they're around there, your temp is correct.

Run this for stability and it'll give you load temps.

i've had orthos running for about 15 minutes and the temp is 57-58C, i guess i need some more cooling before i start overclocking.

I would trust what TAT and CoreTemp say because they're telling you the temp from the die, which is the hottest part of your CPU.

Have you done any overclocking? Do you know how to overclock? If you're currently running at stock speed, you can undervolt to reduce temps. My E6400 is at stock speed and it's default voltage is 1.35vcore. I am running 0.9735 vcore. Temps dropped a massive 15C.

You should try undervolting before overclocking with your temps. With 58C load, I wouldn't overclock it.

I just tried to look up the BIOS on your motherboard and I found nothing.

If you find your way into BIOS and you see the CPU Voltage Control. Your CPU should run at 1.20 voltage. Set it to that and see how it goes.

IF, by and chance that your computer does not turn back on after any overclocking or undervolting, do the follow.

1. Locate a circular silver battery on the motherboard
2. Remove that battery
3. Let it sit there without the battery for one minute or more
4. Put back in the battery and boot up.

This is called Resetting CMOS, which will clear your BIOS and put it back onto factory default.
