Finally Played Far Cry-Summed Up Review by Me - Page 2

just thought about one part I really liked, after landing in the helicopter and defeding the wreckage with the minigun, then going into that base close by up on the hill, running into a fully stocked supply of guns and ammo, then taking the jeep through that huge open battle with the lava from the volcano, man what a cool game!

EDIT: Now realizing, another small complaint I had about the game was that whenever I am behind a plant or tree unable to be seen, the AI happens to "hear something". I mean *** come on, I know they are just AI but atleast let me make some sound before you notice me. They dont have special thermal vision, it really was pissing me off in some levels. One instance is me peaking around a corner, and 2 all of a sudden, Mercs from a few football fields away automatically sense my presence and open fire.
EDIT 2: I admit, I stopped so low to finish with cheats on the 2nd part of the last level. It was IMPOSSIBLE, come on. I'm not gonna spend 3 hours trying to pass that, I had other stuff to get done. Damn goliath trygens.
i agree with that. you so much as step on a leaf and they shout "DID YOU HEAR THAT!?". Its not exactly splinter cell.

I admit the ending of the game was very hard. It took me a while to do but i do remember the ending being quite climatic. At the volcano with mutants absolutely everywhere. CVG.com stressed their dislike for that part. I'm with them. A little scary at times this game is! But crytek seem to know how to make a good storyline out of nothing. I am pleased crysis seems a little more mature though. Mutants are sooo last century bring on the sub-zero aliens!

Yea, there were a few jumper moments in it, but nothing too scary. Meh, maybe I will be able to play crysis on low with my system. I wonder what it will look like.

Haha, that annoyed me to no end; and then to add to it they manage to land shots on you accurately with an assault rifle whilst sprinting through the thick jungle. Pff

I just used cheats in the end, and sniped the hell out of them. That was mildly entertaining at least.
