Does anyone else have issues with rivatuner or atitools with this card? Neither will even see my card and will not let me OC it, I have to use nTune.

Not at all. Try uninstalling Ntune and install ATi tool.

So, maybe 55*C was wrong. I was able to use ATITools finally and it is reporting aroune 70*C, now I have no idea which one to trust.
well ATITool would lock up at exactly 50*C with my old PCX5900 where as the ASUS tool that came with the card would be in the 60*C range... and if I ran them at the same time it would un-glitch ATITool and they would read the same (low 60's). For safety I would say always use the higher value... also try EVEREST Ultimate Edition for temp monitoring and see what it is reading.

My 8600GT hits 75*C @ 650/800 and I don't want to push past that on stock cooling. So I would say 70*C is a more reasonable temp at your clock speeds, especially considering my card hit 69*C at stock clocks under load.

mine went to 80°C @ 650/800 . Thats fine. I have a 120mm Fan Blowing cold Air from outside blowing directly on them. Before, the temps would be 90°C+ under load, and 60-65 Idle, Now idle is 50-55 and load 60-80 (only ati tool pushes them to 80C , no game comes even close to that lol.)

That's what I was going to say...it's not exactly that the card sucks, just that it doesn't bring much to the table compared to last gen mid-range cards.
