Do you know what Batch your cpu is?

I can't get 3.4 yet. Good job though

Maybe my BT is not seated right? Or maybe this is just what happens when you throw 1.5+ volts into a cpu?
Batch#: L650C690
Pack Date: 05/11/07

Check your BT, see if its loose. I remember when i first tried putting it on the 775 mobo it wasnt very secure by tightening it with just my fingers. So i got some needle nose pliers to tighten those little nuts and its pretty secure now.

My vcore is at 1.525v in BIOS. An hour into Orthos. We'll see how it does for longer... Hopefully it does well.

^ I hope it is stable for you.

Good luck for you both though. It seems to be very nice. I'm kind of envious, since I am using my dell and my father's computer is somewhat down for now so I cannot play with it. I hope you have reached your ideal point for now. =P

My I first installed the BT yes, It was loose. I didn't know if it was normal or not so I posted about it. Now that I remember I don't think I got a reply to it but my temps were Way to high so I tightened it nice and snug.

However I'm not sure I used the As5 right... I may have used too much.
It didn't make a mess, Just looked like a bunch on there. Beeing my first build, I didn't know any better.

Most people use the amount of a grain of rice. It may not look like much at first but it will spread out. Just make sure it is in the center. And when you install the BT, try to not let it move around any or much on the thermal paste.

So far with my OCs, Orthos has ran hotter than folding by a decent bit. With my old setup they were about the same.

Oh yea, i halfway lapped my BT today. I just used 400 grit (finest i had) and it came out pretty smooth. A lot smoother than it was.

Something Interesting!!!

Well Coretemp just flaked out on me. Temp's scared me so I stopped Orthos instantly. Check the screen shots out.

Other then that I think everything is going smoothly. I'm going to go tighten the timings now

You guys and your Lapped BT's..

I think it'll be another late night (Lapping my BT )
