First things first

ASUS P5B Motherboard
E6400 Conroe Processor
DDR2 800 Ram

anyone with this motherboard able to point me in the right direction to find the "PCI/AGP/SATA" and "Stop unused PCI clock"
settings in the bios?
anything else unique to this motherboard i need to know?
I have the most recent version of the bios from ASUS and flashed it earlier this week in preparation for dealing with this.

and what are the max VCore and temps I want to run this processor at?

-thanks

from personnal experience:

- set the pci clock to 33MHZ, which is preety much the max, otherwise you will run into problems
- most asus boards have the same interface so just increase the FSB up from 1066 untill you reach a confortable plateau below 60 degrees under 1.4V.

- Do not go over 1.40V on the cpu on stock cooling
- do not go over 60 Degrees EVER(on speed fan its temp1, not core for C2Ds) (stock cooling or not). monitor these with Orthos, Speedfan/asusprobe or TAT.

So i started to increase the fsb on my processor and the ram frequency is rising to match it. is this supposed to be happening? also, what is the quickest way to check heavy load temps while i am increasing the speed?
will the "auto" function for VCore ramp up the VCore as i increase the speed or is that just an autodetect and i have to do it manually.

the temps Core Temp is giving me are also 5-10 degreees cooler than what my bios says. which is right?

and just to make sure im doing things right. for the starting vcore should i use what the bios is reporting as the current voltage when everything is at "auto" right?

thanks
