First Time build!!

Thread Starter
hey all, been workin alot and finally saved up enough money to order all my parts, I have ordered a:

XION SuperNova 600 Watt PSU
SATA 250gb HD WD
Thermaltake Armor Case
Gigabyte 965P-DS3 motherboard
E6420 C2D 2.13ghz chip
XFX 7600GT Video Card
And for now a crappy sound card that came from an old computer which will be replaced later on.
and GEIL 2gb ram

Will any of these parts conflict with one another?
Does the chip come with a heatsink and fan?
If not which one should I buy, keep in mind im not going to overclock.Im going to be playing Call of Duty 2 and FEAR, editing photos and browsing the net.

Please give some feedback on this as this is my first time build

you won't need the sound card, most motherboards nowadays have descent onboard audio, usually 7.1 surround. Good pics on the rest though

This ram i picked out is only $98 and $74 after rebate. Its the orange sticks on newegg. Does this build look good?

If you're looking to maximize performance, you'll want a sound card. On board sound cards use the cpu to do some or most of their processing depending on the chip configuration.

I'm aware of that, but he stated he was going to use a crappy sound card, so the difference would be very minimal, epecially with the 6420. So unless he's willing to spend another chunk of cash...
