I really appreciate your input, heh, even if you are the only admin to ever kick me on the CS:S server I'm thinkin I will go with the DT770s and probably the xtremeMusic and amp it if need be in the future.

don't take offense if I kick you. If I was really annoyed I would have banned! lol. but in all seriousness, I do try to run a tight ship. I'd like to think that our server is a place where kids could go w/o being bombarded w/ F-bombs and gay pron.

I really like my 770's. And my PIMETA is a good combination with them. You can make one for less than $100, but mine was about $150+ in parts alone... yeah I kinda went all out

5.1 surround audio
good bass <-very important to me
good mic
plays very nice with x-fi cards while running games
Padding goes around ear, not on

The problem is it seems from all the high-end headsets I've looked at they might have 3, maybe 4 of those requirements I listed but none have all, at least none that I have looked at. I've looked at the barracudas, the senn ones, turtle beach, medusas, and some others but they all seem lacking. So, to make a long story short does anyone have a suggestion on what would meet my requirements? Thanks guys!
they are good headsets but i would take my 5.1 x530 speakers over them any day. not very many hs can pull off a surround with only 2 speakers, these included

I know, I didn't take offense I play on the OCN server cause of how clean it is normally, and the fun people who play on there. I just thought it was funny that I got kicked for saying "poo".

Anyways, if I do get an amp I'd like one that suits the DT770's use of the High and Lows and doesn't break my wallet. Have you heard much about these Xenos 0HA-RHP ? I think they must be realitively new because there isn't much written about them, but they are pretty well priced.

I just took a look at the amp and I wouldn't hold my breath on it being that great of an amp. It is probably in the league of the LDM+ and PA2v2. Both of which are decent amps, but not spectacular. For the price you could have all the parts to build a PPAS or PIMETA. Both would outperform that amp.

I am an electronic technician and could put together an amp but honestly I just want to buy one that would have a really good price / performance ratio. So I'm looking for the 7900gs of headphone amps. I don't need it to have batteries or battery charger or even be super small. Any suggestions?
