not to hijack this thread, but would the thottling interfere with an OC, making it unstable at either idle or load speeds?

Well coz you have a 650i mobo like mine, it should be in:

- Goto the 'Advanced' tab
- Goto 'CPU Configuration'
- Change 'C1E' and 'Enhanced Intel Speedstep' to disabled
