Let me know what your budget is so I can adjust.

8600GT should be able to run CS and WoW fine.. he can save a bit there.

He doesn't need super oc'able ram when that Brisbane has a multy of 9.5.

Corsair PC2 5400

Instead of that expensive 8600GTS, he could do better for less:

I'd take the 3600+ over the PD805 any day.
The X1950XT is the same price as the X1800XT after rebate.

Wouldn't DDR2 667 on an overclocked 3600+ = extremely slow memory speed? For like $10 more, get these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231098

X1950XT is 20$ more after rebate...otherwise I would have recommended that card.

With a 6200LE you cannot run WoW at max. I had an X800XL, AMD Athlon64, and 2GB of Ram and ran it at max with 80FPS average at 1280x1024. I would recommend a 7600GT, 2GB of Ram, and a Pentium-D or cheap Core 2.

$10 more. IMHO, the $10 spend is well worth it. Besides, the X1800XT is open box. Frankly, a 7600GT would be perfectly fine for those games.

The X1800XT is 150, while the X1950XT is 160$ after rebate. Yes, I know that the 20$ is worth it, but he's looking for a cheap rig...eithier of these cards are out of the question.

Thread Starter
Thanks for all the great help everyone. Sorry I didn't give a set price but those look perfect for what I would even be able to afford. I'd say 1k is the maximum but the 500$ ones look perfect for me, right now. Thank you, now I gotta save!
