Bad Temps on x1950xt 256MB Help!!! - Page 2

Thread Starter
Ok, I'm home, and I reversed the fan, so now it's blowing cool air onto the GPU Heatsink. Running ATI Tool 3D spinning 'fuzzy,' I seem to be leveling off at 87C load. It looks that I'm running around 5C cooler. Still hotter than I would like. The heatsink's location in the case is not ideal. I might try reseating the heatsink and see if that helps. I didn't like the little rubber washers that come with the kit. They tend to squish out the side of the thumbscrew when tightening. I might trade them for a couple of the paper washers (from Zalman kits) that I have a plenteous supply of... Any other ideas (before I go yankin' the sink) would be appreciated.

That'd do the trick.. always have the fan blowing on the heatsink not the other way around. 87c is safe temps for that card X1900's are built to be ovens so no worries.
