I am testing mine, not sure where it'll end up, but so far I got to 11100 3DMark06 (I use Vista 64). Just now, I tried 820/999. It went through 3DMark06 with 11400 score but there were lots of artifacts. I did another run at 700/999 and still got artifacts so it must be memory. Now I am running 730/950 seems good so far. Once I find limit for the memory I will push the core frequency. It looks to me that Pro is just XT with different BIOS.

I am hopping to get to 12k of course Would be great for 85$ CPU/70$ Mobo/270$ video (but I did overspend on CPU cooling and power)

I love it when they do that. I have and AGP 850 flashed to Platinum that radically imprivedit's gaming ability. This should be good news for anyone wanting to save over a hundred bucks.

I was able to push my 2900 Pro to 875 core and 970 memory (I only use air colling). I got 11741 in 3DMark06.

Here is more if anyone is interested.

The Pro is an inferior version of 2900XT GPU, so I don't think they're that bad. AMD is selling those out fast because they have limited quantities and not to mention about 55nm GPUs should be available very soon.

What are your ambient temps?

Note:
Everyone should buy a cheap digital thermometer to sit next to their PCs....makes temp analysis soooo much more exact....

Actually for that ambient that is quite high. I have an ambient of about 20C and I idle 48-49, load at no higher than 75 in Crysis, but I have reseated the TIM with AS5. I would do this, as there is a huge amount of silicone on it.

Stock, they way it came, no changes. My case has large 25cm fan blowing over the CPU and the video card, so it probably helps with temps/stability.

But I am thinking about binormalkilla's mod to add a fan.

Nice, what is the fan speed on the card at?

Also I just the saw post above about ambient temps, I idle at around 49-52c with ambient temps of around 42-45c, is that high?

EDIT: I can't find his mod, is it in this post?

I doubt your ambients are at 42C mate, mine are at 26C in a room with no cooling and no windows.

But them idle seem on the spot to me, load temps are more important though.

Here is the details of the mod, go on to page 110 to see the finished pics.
