On the Overdrive note...last night I was getting some freezes in 3dmark as well as gaming, even with the same OC that I was running with Rivatuner. I wonder if my PSU can't handle it.....it should be able to with no problem....I ran 2 X1950 Pros without skipping a beat. Maybe I should sell it and get the Silverstone?

Maybe I should pick up a PSU tester if I can't OC any.....this sucks!
That PSU should be fine. What can you pull off the 12 rails (I assume multiple rails on this)? But I really don't think you need a new one (now if you want justification, that's another thing, ).

EDIT: Did you run the configuration tool or just assume the same oc that you were using with 7.7?

Yea my power supply is certified by ATI for Crossfire (not for the 2900 CF), and it has 18A on each (of 4) 12V rails.....they can 'borrow' from each other as well....I think.
http://www.ocztechnology.com/drivers...700W_chart.jpg

I ran the configuration tool, but it locked my PC up every time.....I'll run it again after work. I ran my 3dmark score posted a few pages ago at 860/1050, (a few times) and it never locked up.

That's happened to me before when using overdrive. A clean driver install usually fixes.

EDIT: From what I understand, they "borrow" from each other but also lose a bit in the "borrowing" process.

Yea that's what I've read as well. I'm going to try a driver reinstall (again) and see what happens. I just installed .NET framework 3.0 from work. Remote desktop FTW!
So do you get that error message when you near the end of Catalyst installation? About the 'app already installed?'

No but it sounds like you're not cleaning up after uninstall. Make sure to use DriverCleanerPro in SafeMode then reboot and install drivers. Very critical, don't skip.

EDIT: Also, empty recycle bin before rebooting.

Oh yea man, I clean up like mad after I reinstall. I run DC Pro in safe mode, then run aggressive registry clean in RegSupreme Pro, then run DC Pro again, then check to see if it deleted the c:\\ATI directory....but I'll try it again.

Check out this little review of the GeCube. They have some really good, diverse info here. They also compare different drivers.

Check this out:
http://www.samsung.com/global/busine...num=K4U52324QE
This is the link for the samsung chips on our cards. You can find the data sheet here as well. I'm looking here to see what the max voltage and frequency should be...
They have timings tables there as well...

Well I'm running the auto config for overdrive over remote desktop.....we'll see if it locks up.
