Does anyone have an FX60 ? - Page 2

I've got 2...... 1 in my HTPC & 1 in my main rig. HTPC is NOT an overclocker, but the 1 in the main rig is pretty good on air, but summer now and just a little too warm.

I have one. I run it 24/7 at 15x200 @ 1.55, idle 27C and load mid 40s on water. I was slightly dissapointed with the overclocking on this cpu when i got it, but it is actually pretty reasonable. I wouldn't invest in one now because of the price. For about the same cost you could get an AM2 cpu + ram + mobo, and still have room for upgradeability. If you are dead set on 939 then this chip is good, but a lot of people are going for the opty 165 instead because they usually clock better. I have a s939 4400+ on the way that im gonna try and hit 3Ghz with, im gonna swap it with my fx60 so i can put a peltier on the fx60 in the next couple of weeks(and hopefully hit 3.4~3.6, I have been to 3.2 on water). All that being said I love my fx60 and am glad i picked it up, and prolonged the life of my system.

FX-60 here. Can overclock to 3000MHz, but unstable. I haven't risked going over 1.6v. I'm on water.

What water block are you using?

I had mine at 1.575 V in bios. The sensor was reading 1.62 under load. It is currently not stable at any voltage or speed. I am gonna get a new waterblock on it and see if i can go past my current top clock of 3.2 @1.575, maybe peltier too.

I don't think so. I own 2 of them 1 runs at 3.15 although I have not been able to get it to complete a 3DMark06 bench. But it has no problem with Prime 95. Cant figure that one out unless it has somthing to do with my nVidia drivers on Vista. the other at 3.12 stable both on air. 36 idle 47 stressed.
