The 8 Series series cards can support both AA+HDR at the same time (6 Series and 7 Series can only do either one or the other at one time), which can be a nice feature for games that support HDR. AA smooths out the rough edges in games, and HDR gives you some very pretty lighting effects. Far Cry is a big one that comes to mind right now, but I'm sure there are many other games out there with HDR support.

There is no reason to get either of them. You have a sli config rite now that maybe a little slower than the 7900gs, but its not worth wasting the money. If you getting a 8800gtx down the road, just wait. You will be glad.
