Graphics card

Still deciding on how much money i have and want to spend for the graphics. I might get the 8800gts. Depends on tech school next year, my gas powered scooter, my car, ect.

hard drive

I might get the 500gb hard drive but also depends on those things.

Here:
E4300-Clocks really high easily.
X1800XT-Will smoke a 7900GS in pretty much any game, it's pretty much on par with a 7900gt.
G. SKILL 2GB-Can do 950FSB+, the e4300 has a high multy so this ram is more than fast enough. Also, do you need a PSU?

Yeah, are you going to get the 8800GTS? It can run CS:S at super high settings...if you oc to 8800GTX speeds than you'll be getting a lot of FPS even if your have everything turned up. CS:S isn't to hard to run.

I have 100 fps right now on my 3rd rig in my sig and everything is almost on high settings which it runs smoot. I was even running it on 1280 by 1024 and thats with a crappy evga geforce 7600gt. I only said crappy cause if i get the 8800gts it will be crappy compared to that.

and is this 8800 better?

Same thing... I can run CS:S at 1600x1200 with 4x FSAA and 8x AF smoothly, could go higher but my monitor won't let me. This 8800gts should be able to run CSS at 2048x1536 with no problems.

yeah i can do a higher resolution but my monitor won't let me. I don't see why anybody would want to go past 1280 by 1024 unless that persons monitor is bigger than my 19" lcd.

Well I got 8800 GTS cause I paid 200 euro for an X1950 Pro and after 2 dayus the price fell to 130 euro so i took it back and paid 100 euro more and got 8800 gts. Anyway about the 7900GS if you check this list http://www.overclock.net/graphics-ca...kings-2-a.html you will see X1950 pro will be over the 7900 GS and there is another new listing that shows the same. Sapphire has a cheap X1950 Pro. As fopr the cases I l;ike big cases cause they have better airflow although yours has the basic front and back slots to put fans. Anyway the 8800 you show is like twice the price of the other and well i like PNY but its not the best company so.. Anyway if up to you but the sure is that the 8800 will be much better than either 7900 GS you suggest or X1950 pro i suggest. My 8800 can;lt be compared with the temporary x1950 pro i bought ^^''( talking about FEAR's performance)

PS I want to ask sorry if i had many typos or said something wrong but we I had a bit of tequila (like half bottle) cause my friend walkred to see wioth mePirates of caribbean 3 with a drink ^^'' Well I hope you will get to a final pont,.Do not rush with your choices, as for the RAM both yours and the one that was suggested I give a thumbs up. Good Rams.
