He doesn't want you to see him running his BF2 and CS:S servers on them

Hey, I use my Itanium 3D glasses ALL of the time! I won them at the prerelease for Vista... Instead of a new smartphone or a car or something...

Holy hell this is insane...
Man, just when I think AMD is so close to coming crawling back, whimpering... Intel slaps them in the face again...

Hey you know it was going the other way around a few years till last year my friend.

This won't be out till 2010, and then I doubt the prices would be reasonable from the rate right now.
AMD still has a chance though..

Nobody in this forum uses Intel Itanium processors because of a single and powerful reason. They are the oldest and only one true 64bit processors, with zero compatibility with standard x86 instruction set, neither with AMD64/EM64T instruction sets. Software for them must be specially enginered, and it only happens in it's own commercial spot, the servers. So unless there are some people here with that kind of specialized servers around... it is logical to not see Itanium's here.

Yes it is, but it will quickly lead to the demise of faster CPU being the core material is at the near end of its abilitys to be downsized further

***? Tukwila is (was) supposed to be the Itanium based on a 65nm process, but it was going to be released in 2008! This probably means that by the time Itanium reaches 32nm, those for desktop chips won't be far off.
