Theres still 22nm and 16nm. I guess after that, they'll go to pm (picometer). It's next smallest, after nano.

Nah I think that desktop processors will stay around this size for a long time...we'll just have 80 cores to a die.

they are already, technically.
but i guess you mean the pcb with pins/LGA-contact points and IHS as well.
i dont think making all of that smaller is a good idea. it will become harder to install, and allows for less contact points, decreasing bandwidth.

I agree, they will probably stay the same size, just a lot more to that size.
Imagine if RAM followed suit, DDR-8 will be like 16GB modules
