Need a little bit of Help

Hey guys, noob here. I have an e6600 with an evga 680i motherboard. I overclocked it to 3.4 and it turns on perfect. Here are my CPU-Z specs.

I run Orthos for a couple of Minutes and i get an error. I was wondering if My ram has something to do with this? I have 3gbs of Corsair 800mhz, but now i check CPU-z and it shows that their frequency is at 379.5. How do i Put them back ay 800?

Any help would be appreciated.

The reason for the RAM freq. is because you have DDR(II) RAM. Double it and you have your effective speed.

In your case, your RAM is running below rated speed if it's suppose to be 800.

Did you put a divider on (either on purpose or accident?) Dividers underclock RAM so you can push your CPU more without having to worry your RAM is failing.

One way to check your RAM is to run memtest. That only tests RAM and should tell you if something is wrong. Likewise, you could run Small FFT and see does that fail as well, which in that case, your CPU is failing.

edit\\\\ I don't know about Intel CPUs, so I'm going to let someone else take over on the CPU overclocking side. Normally, you would increase your voltage as long as your temps are okay. I don't know what is a good C2D voltage...Download Speedfan and see what you're temps are.
