Bump, I was just about to post this question as well. I was unware of the issue with the new core and being able to get a proper temp. I thought I was just running way high and have been going nuts trying to reseat and lap everything to get down to safe temps. I have the same cooler what are the readings your getting off of whatever program you use.

I've found that Everest Ultimate and the Biostar hardware monitor to be the most accurate for me. However, I've yet to find a program that reads the individual core temps correctly.

Coretemp, speedfan, pcwizard, everest. All reported my temps at 12-14 degrees celsius on idle. Anyway Dubz is right the biostar hardware monitor works good.

I agree, the Hardware Monitor is good. Some folks, including myself, have had problems with CoreTemp causing random restarts.

ive had issues with 3rd party temp programs. the only ones ive been able to trust are ones that came with my hardware. i think its just the brisbane chips.

everst ultimate edition seems to work the best for me. The Temp programs worked great that came with the mobo, but as soon as i apply an overclock those programs error.
