Does anyone here with an 8800 NOT suffer from tearing?

Thread Starter
Title kind of says it all....

Anyone here with a system similar to mine and using an LCD? I've had tearing on my Westinghouse 19'' 8ms, my Viewsonic 19'' 2ms, and finally my Samsung 22'' 2ms.

I'm wondering if anyone here doesn't have to turn on Vsync and cap out at 60

Tearing is caused by you turning off Vsync on your games.

I always have vsync on because of tearing. I just set the refresh rate to 75 so I get 75 instead of 60.

I don't use Vsync. I have a 19" Westinghouse LCD. 8ms I believe. And I have not experienced any tearing at all. None.

No thats not what I'm saying. I don't think its odd. I think its odd that everyone IS getting tearing. I'm just stating that I don't.

I guess everyone want +1000ubersuperfps on their games all the time. I use it whenever possible since image tearing pisses me off and looks horrible, except for the cases where it causes problems (mostly due to driver incompatibility in certain games).
