Ehh... I know I'm very happy that they'll be replacing it since the 7800 has been sluggish as of late and was getting slow in 2142, but I'm still antsy to get back into my gaming... Oh well, if the 18th comes around and I still haven't heard anything back, I might give them a call... That will be two weeks of my RMA just being on the back burner sitting.

So every day since I got back from vacation on the 9th, I've been speaking with them about it on their Support System and they keep saying it should be going out soon.

What the hell though, I spent over $300 on that card when I bought it and even convinced all of my friends to buy XFX when they buy graphics since I've had good luck with them. I even had two friends in the last week but 8800GTX/GTS's from them with reference to me... And now it has been almost 2 weeks since they initiated the "replacement" process and they're still saying "it'll go out soon".

I'm becoming impatient... I know it's an RMA and they are slow and all, but it seems like they are just sitting there twiddling their thumbs while I go without a computer

Ugh... /rant over I suppose.
Do you have gmail? I had a similar thing happen to me.

Here's the problem, they send out their emails with some sort of automated system, which can be filtered into spam by many email companies. Best thing to do is find their number, give em an invoice number and talk to 'em. If you've already done that disregard this post

The thing is, I've received many emails from their RMA center and support center, so I don't think they're being filtered, I just adjusted my SPAM filter settings though to be sure.

I mostly stay converse with them through the Support Ticket I started for my RMA anyway, so if they send it out, I should find out there and in an email...hopefully.

I bought an XFX 8600GTS right after launch, and I had to RMA it due to a very loud cooler. I submitted a ticket on April 23, they responded quickly, set up the RMA and I sent it in. They determined the noise to be a "whining capacitor" and said they'd replace the card.

It's now June 21 and I still haven't received a replacement card. I have kept in contact via the ticket system (which seems fast enough) and I was told they were "out of stock" of 8600GTS and I'd have to wait until they got more in to receive my replacement card.

I asked if maybe I could pay a nominal cost to upgrade to an 8800GTS or something they DID have in stock, and they quoted me $150.00 to upgrade. That's far too steep of course, so now I am again waiting on my 8600GTS to show up. The rep said they'd have stock middle of this week, but so far I've heard nothing more.

I understand stock issues, but come on. It's been almost TWO months...they couldn't send someone out to a local Best Buy or somesuch and nab one they had in stock?

Why didn't you RMA through Newegg or where ever your purchased it from? I had a SeaSonic M12-700W Power Supply and I RMA'd it under Unstatisfactory and I got a new one. The orginial one had slightly meseed up connector tips and I did not want to short out my system or fry it so I RMA'd it.

Also, I went a long time (probably 6 months) without a PC. My Athlon rig got all messed up and I had to save up money for my Sig Rig, and a few days ago I just ordered it. So, be patient!

Good things come to those who wait.

So instead of phoning them and asking what's taking so long, you're going to phone and complain?

That'll make them send it out even quicker!
