Can a good cooling system pretty much consist of cheap CPU block, cheap GPU block, Cheap resevoir and expensive, well known radiater?
Or do the blocks play an important quality role also?

you can add chipset blocks and waterblocks to that as well in the drop down boxes.

All the components need to work well together...If you want a kit this is a decent one...

D-Tek Kit

If you would rather go custom we can list you out some parts....Kit or custom you have to put it together your-self no difference that I can see...

If I were you I would read and learn as much as you can about WC'ing before you start buying parts...That way you can decide for your-self what parts best suit your needs...I will leave you a list of some good links that will help you learn...I leave you a PDF on component cleaning and some of the ways I do my loop...

If your not ready to go into water cooling yet might I suggest getting a new case with more airflow. Under you specs you have just a generic midtower listed. How many fans operate in the case and do you have a front fan?

It is a mid tower case. Right now i have a side exhaust fan and a rear entrence fan, and a pci graphics card fan. It is a clear sided case. I replaced the plexiglass with plastic mesh screening and the other solid side of the case isnt even on. there is plenty of airflow lol.
I was asking about liquid cooling because the birthday is coming up. I was going to get 2 more gigs of ram and vista but I figured I could get liquid cooling instead. Ill have some fun with overclocking first before I upgrade to vista.
