a new build

Thread Starter
a friend came to me asking me to build a new comp. he uses it mostly for word, excel, and accounting programs and plays some games but nothing like half-life 2 gfx requirements. just wanted to see a mid end high build... my system that i have runs everythign great but i was looking at a 4 to 7 hundrend buget... he has a CD rom, HD keyboard, mouse, screen, gfx card and ram... all i need is a mobo, processor, psu, and two recommendation for a GFx card and ram if he so wishes to have...

thanks for all the help

Take a look at my signature rig.

Mobo = $140 Retail [Probably lower now]
Vid Card = around $120
some good ram would cost about $80
and a processor is all up to you. You could get an E4300 and overclock it a lot.

This board is an awesome overclocker. Lots of options for bus speeds and the ram dividers and all. It is fun. Super stable too.

i would recommend going for a system that is future proof so its more of an investment rather than a purchase.
