Question on mobos

Thread Starter
MY question starts here. If someone uses a computer for just the basics such as Microsoft office, some work programs, internet, watching or listening to movies/musics; could he get away with just using an integrated gfx. Are they even any good on todays Intel mother boards?

( NOTE: this computer wouldn't be over clocked!!!)

if so any recommendations or infomation on a nice mother board
and
if not any recommendations of a rather cheap gfx would be greatly appreciated

On-board gfx would be fine for this application. You can build a really cheap AMD AM2 65nm system for such a purpose, eg:

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Lima 2.2GHz 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor - Retail - $66.99
GIGABYTE GA-M61SME-S2 Socket AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 6100 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail - $52.99 has onboard GeForce 6100

I think the AM2 approach is best since you can get mobos with GeForce video.

I'm gonna recommend this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128018

You can prolly go cheaper but I think it's a good board.
