LCD Monitor that works through USB! - Page 3

It must suck completly, that means the CPU takes the whole load of a GPU, and I don't even understand how does a CPU performs as a GPU as it is completly different architectures, and it wouldn't make sense in today's motherboards, when you look at the motherboard's architecture, the CPU is in no way responsible for handling graphics.

You're talking about communication within the system, which isn't slow in that case. Software rendering is easy when done within an enclosed system, it's a different story on USB. The alternative is to software render and just send the image through USB, even though that requires a good deal of bandwidth that increases with the resolution, and puts quite a bit of strain on the CPU to manage that.
Ahhh I get it now. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I thought you just meant software rendering would be slow. Sorry for the confusion.

see this would be completely useless to an enthusiasts, but a wonderful invention for schools and comerical business. this means now that they wont have to purchase some sort of low end video card so now they save a few hundred.
