I want to get a hd2900xt but will the drivers actually make that much of an improvement or should i just get the 8800gts 640

if your running Vista dont get either...but if still using XP and running DX9 then the HD2900XT I'm guessing would be the best for your buck if your PSU can handle if...but from your sig looks as if you need a new power supply before you think about new graphics my friend

I'd go for the 2900XT as it seems to improve at each driver release. Still, as terraprime said, you need a better PSU first. Can you spell 600W?
