There's more than just bumping voltage and fsb, you need to tweak several other settings in order to reach high speeds.

Cooling is another reason why you may or may not reach a high oc as well.

You got a lot to learn, once you do, you'll know what need to be tweaked.

If you get into water cooling, dont do what I did and buy a cheap kit. Stay away from the inexpensive kits like the Thermaltake Bigwater. I bought that to start with and ended up buying a new system in a week. I've got my E6600 running at 375 FSB at 3.375GHz on only 1.24v and am using an all swiftech system. The Apogee GT is a pretty good CPU block for under $50.

Out of curiosity, what week is your CPU (the code on the box and on the CPU itself) and what chipset is your motherboard running?
