Another good brisbane O.C. - Page 3

I am at 2.7 @ 1.375 but I get really weird temp readouts and do not know what to trust. I get 30c on both cores but 49c on cpu temp. I cannot find a reliable temp monitor for my brisbane with this board. I know 3ghz will be easy but need to know if my chip will survive first.

Is you BIOS updated? I heard 65nm chips give random temp readouts to older AM2 boards if you don't update it

I've been running mine for a couple months at 2.6 stock vcore. It will go up to 2.67. My board wont go over 282 bus speed for some reason, I have tried bumping chipset volts and changing dividers, but honestly I am not really interested in going higher since I run passive cooling.

Have you tried changing your memory settings?

Hmm....I should push mine higher, especially since it's so cool (25c idle/36c load).

Well I got bored and decided to try and join the 3Ghz club so I loosened my memory timings to 5/5/5/15 dropped my multipliers down and upped my vcore to 1.45.It booted up fine at 9x334 FSB for 3.005Ghz my HT link was at just over 1000 and the ram was under clocked.I ran Orthos for 4 min. before it failed and my temp. got to 50c.Do you think it's a temp issue because I only have a $10 cooler on it?

Also the computer shut down about 5 min. after Orthos failed.
