I think the gts will O.C. better but the Extreme will have higher clocks in the end. I know the 8600's O.C. really well, better than the 88's, I'm just not sure of the extreme since I have not had any experience with it.

Get the extreme

I've seen a few benchies with 8600 GTS and 8800 GTS... The 8800 GTS ended up winning, which... in the end would mean.. OC = more winning? o_o;; or something.

Yeah.. 8800 GTS is just sexy

I was thinking of the extreme, due to higher clock speeds. That and I was going to upgrade to a 8800GTX in 6-12 months when prives drop a little.
