How far can I safely take my bfg 7600gt

I don't want to burn it up, don't even want to risk it. I was wondering what is a safe place to go to, where have you been to? I have heard tons of different temps as well anything from 60C and above is bad all the way to 85C is the max.

So what are you maxes, with air cooling?

54C Idle
72C Load
Room Temp: 29C

It's recommended to stay under 80C load with video cards.

When overclocked at 655/2040, I get 60C idle and around 78C load.

On ntune I am currently at 580 and 725....do I double that second number to get the actual number? I am guessing I do, because according to bfg the useable is 1450mhz which is half of 725.

With a slight vmod:

Core = 645MHz
Mem = 1630MHz
(Still pushing on the overclock)

Idle = 41C
Load = 51C

I would say keep it at a max (I mean never hit but stay just below) somewhere around 80C and then idle does not matter too much. Push it as far as it can go with no artifacts and a max load temp of, lets say, 70C.

I get about 50c loaded. Just stay under 80c load and you're fine.

For reference, I get 690/700 (haven't gotten myself to OC the memory yet) on stock voltage with a VF900 sans memory heatsinks.

without a volt mod your probably not going to exceed 650/775. but those are dandy speeds and will certainly boost your system. have you tried using atitool to oc your gpu?
