nope i dont have that option

i only the a basic kernel or the same kernel in recovery mode. even when i go into recovery mode same thign happens.

put in the cd once its at desktop open a termial and run "sudo fsck /dev/x"
and post the out put

so ur saying pop in a live cd boot to desktop and run that command. only thing though that i cant run fsck cuz the partition doesnt show on the fstab

at the live cd desktop, hit <alt>+<f2>, type "kcontrol", goto system administration > disks and file systems and set up the partitons then mount them

pic attached, the gui should be white
