That and also, say if I want to save my money, to like...$200, what would be the best thing I could get for around that.

It might take a bit seeing as I am only 14

I don't understand the differences of them when they are around the same clock...like the x1600XT is the same clock as the 8600.

and why are those so cheap when they have a lot of memory?

So would that HIS be a good one to get if I am a budget builder and say want to just get a higher card, and say, buy another gig of ram?

or should I just go for the 8600?

and they are both DDR3

And the nvidia doesn't show the pixel pipeline. and I don't know what the memory bus is.

Why... no Dx 10?

Since you didn't seem to have made up your mind yet, there's a newcomer that should show up in a few days (1st of July): ATI 2600XT 256MB at around 100$. It should be close to what you've chosen, but also supports Dx10.

The 7600GT SLI is a dead end. Did you know that in the past 6 months nVidia has released only ONE new driver for this card? In this rithm most new games would not be supported, but in default settings (which is not that good).

The difference is the core itself. An X1600XT at 900mhz or even 1000mhz core won't be able to match an 8600GT in performance. And memory size above 256mb for midrange cards doesn't really make a difference.
