Bfg?

I was considering picking up a BFG 8800GTS but not sure how they are with their warranty. I'm pretty sure they have a lifetime warranty just like EVGA, but no step up (which isn't an issue for me). Does anyone know how they are with their warranty (and if it is lifetime)?

I have a BFG 8800GTS and they do offer a lifetime warranty as long as you register your card. They are a really great company.

Sounds great, so the only bad part is no step up compared to EVGA but I wouldn't use it either way. Since I found the 8800GTS 640 OC2 version cheaper then the normal EVGA, might as well go for it! Just hope it doesn't run too hot.

They don't allow Overclocking though, do they? It voids the warranty?

OMG BFG is the greatest brand ever, I told my own little story I don't know how many times, but it will convince you for sure:
So, a little back ago, being complete retard, a metallic part in my USB port was bent, so I used a screw driver to straighten it, it gave me a spark. Fearing that the cable might be bad after this spark, I changed it, and being a retard again, I plugged it on the wrong way around on the pin, giving me another huge spark. PC booted fine after having it shut down for 5 minutes, but I was fearingt that the motherboard might have taken a hit. So I call for RMA, I tell the story to the first guy, he tells me that I voided their warranty. I call again to ask another question, and this time it's another guy and he asks me if I want to set up an RMA, I'm like yeah. Then, I call one day to check the status of my RMA, and the guy tells me, I would advise you to stop calling because everytime you call, your case if being looked up, and I can see that your warranty is voided, but I will keep my mouth shut because you are a nice customer... And what's even better is that, I was required to only send my motherboard back to them, in a week, I receive a brand new, factory sealed package, not only with the motherboard but with all the cables, all the fans, all the softwares... most of them are still sealed....
Anyway, they are the greatest!!!!

So sounds like they are very helpful as well. Might as well get the OC2 version for $20 then the regular EVGA 8800 640 then.
