Massive XFX 7600gt OC

Thread Starter
Does anyone know of a higher overclock for a 7600gt than 800 MHz core @1.8 volts and 770MHz Ram at stock voltage? I had to mod the bios a bunch of times. Currently the fan is set to operate at 100% regardless of mode and the Vcore is up at 1.8 from the stock 1.3. The only problem is that I am still CPU limited. I am running a C2D e6300 @ stock 1.86 GHz. I need a new mobo, perhaps the XFX 650i chipset. By the way, the stock speed for a 7600gt is 540MHz and the stock for the XFX card is 580MHz.

My RAM is at 800 stock voltage.
Core only 650. Don't do volt mods.

And as for motherboard, I can suggest the Asus P5N-E SLi. It uses the 650i chipset. Awesome motherboard.

No problem.

It's gonna take a while to read though. Took me 2 weeks reading a bit every day. ^^

If you want the cheap version get the P5N-E sli, otherwise the P5N32-E SLI would be much better.

Last night I decided to see just how far I could get it... With the core at 1.8 and the fan @ 100%, it was extremely unstable but I hit 1GHz on the GPU... I didn't keep it there for long, but WOW! 1GHz GPU!

Wow, sweet man. Heat issues causing the instability?
