How reliable is the price drop?

Thread Starter
By now all of us knows that there will be a price drop on July 22nd, but how reliable is the source? Has it been confirmed?

I'm thinking of selling off my E6600 before the drop.

I' say its rather reliable.

The april price drop worked pretty well. The e6600 dropped 80 bucks in one night at the egg.

As reliable as it looks too good to be true. They are very accurate.

I know someone working at a local tigerdirect store. He told me the shipments they will get After August will be reduced priced, especially from Intel, because they are providing a discount. I don't know if this is because of the price cut, or some other reason, but it could be a valid point.

yeah.. this is what ive got.. http://www.mitsimonsta.net/host/pricefk4.gif
If this really happens.. then im going to put off my e6600 and go for a Q6600 - theyre the same price as an E6600 right now which will be replaced with a E6850 (3.0Ghz) for the same price as the above Quad.
This is insane!!!

Last price drop for the E6600 was also pretty reliable, and true. So I think the same story here

Really it's what you think. But if I were you, I'd upgrade your gpu asap. If you up your oc on your 6600 and get an 8800, you'll be real happy till the end of the year and you can take your 8800 with you to the next build.

DDR3 and X38 are sure things, GeForce 9xxx hasn't been announced to my knowledge.
