disk read error?

i tryed to add a dialup modam to my 2nd rig and it wont boot to windows (says a file is corrupt) and i take it out and now it says "A disk read error occurred press ctrl+alt+del to restart"

Your hard drive is corrupt somewhere. Most likely in the boot files.

Try using your installation CD to do a system repair. (Assuming you are on Windows)
