Fried PSU

I think thats what happened...

For the last few days my computer will just go bloop and restart at the BIOS and boot up normally, which is very gay.

Today, when this happened again, I just got mad and pressed the power button to turn it off.

It turned off and I went to unplug/plug in some different drives, when i touched the connector to the back of my drive, the computer turned on for a second then died and now I am unable to turn on my computer.

Fried it right?

This EXACT same thing happened to me about 2 years ago, so I bought this PSU, its a Rosewill 500w.

I need a replacement PSU, considering I just bought/built a brand new c2d build a month ago.

Help me.

Well, since you've already come to the conclusion that the PSUs fried, time to look for a new one. I suggest FSP, or perhaps one of the OCZs.
'bout time.

I know, I just hope it didn't take anything with it...

Give me your best PSU's for sub $80.

if there is an amazing one for like ~90-100 you might be able to talk it up to me...

I did the same thing. I was dumb and stuck a screwdrive into a molex when the computer was on and shorted the molex and the computer when POOP.

Switched off PSU, jumped it to get power out. Let it sit for 5 mins. Switched on. Works just dandy. PHEW.

SilverStone 500w

This is reliable for your current setup. I am also building a similar setup and Chozart had also rebuilt my build and used that PSU for his list.
