E6600 Idling temp after O/C

Thread Starter
If my E6600 runs at 42C IDLE after being OC'd to 3.1 GHz is that too high?

Run Orthos for a while and post your load temp. 42c is not to high, but, your load temp is far more important than the idle temp.

Load temp is approx. 60C which has to be too high lol... time to turn it down a notch

Entel say's 60c is the max. I don't think there are to many programs that can stress your CPU as much as Orthos did. I think your fine. You should always check your load temp to make sure your cooler is attached correctly.

60c is just barely ok, try keep the 3.1ghz OC and lower vcore, try upping FSB voltage it seems to compensate for lower CPU vcore without the temps for my 630.
