any new nVidia card (that's better than the 8800) coming out this year?

I plan to upgrade my PC right after Crysis' release. I was wondering if there's gonna be a new & better card that will come out this year that is better than the 8800 series?

Thanks.

EDIT: Right after posting I saw this thread! Sorry for the similar topic...

I wouldn't think so, and even if one does, don't expect much more performanace from it due to the lack of driver support once it's released. Nvidia... *sigh*...

Yeah, my res is only 1024x768 because of my poor eyesight. Anything higher and I won't be able to see anything on the screen without using reading glasses!

At those res, a 8800GTS 320MB should be more than powerful enough to last you for the next year. There should be new high-end cards coming out in the winter... maybe late fall.
Once again...

Plus if it happens within 3 months of when you buy the GTS you can always step it up if you buy Evga.
