Orthos?

Thread Starter
I just ran orthos and within 39 seconds got a fatal error. This is what it said "Fatal Error: Rounding was 0.5 expected less then 0.4" What does that mean and what should I do?

Something is either OCed to far, lacking voltage (ie; the PS cant handle the load) or the RAM is an issue which could be timings, voltage or it's defective.

Bottom line: The overclock is unstable, which means you need to revise your settings.

It's likely that you've pushed your CPU overclock too far. I'd back off a bit, then retest. Or, your VCore may be inadequate.

Hope this helps!

I had my ram timings set a 4-4-4-12. Changed them back to 5-5-5-15 and didn't get any errors. Do you think I would get the error again if I put it back to 4-4-4-12 and bump up my memory voltage?

The only way to know for sure is to test!

How long are your Orthos runs, incidentally? Short runs aren't really all that effective, in my opinion, unless you're at an early stage of your overclock and you're still trying to find your components' limits.

It's possible, but then again can you really notice any performance difference? If not, I'd just leave it as it is

You wont notice much between 4-4-4-12 and 5-5-5-15. If you have some room to up the ram volts you might but it back stable at 4-4-4-12.
