would a 2.8 ghz ht northwood 800fsb 478 pin processor... on a d865gbf intel motherboard over clock? is there any way ... software or bios mod or something ?? plz help ...

My gut says no. Intel boards until VERY recently have not been able to overclock. Is this a Dell or other off the shelf PC?

As long as it is an OEM board, you're outta luck. AFAIK it won't.


Get a new mobo if you MUST. I would suggest upgrading to LGA 775

You can always try clockgen or cpufsb. Not really recommended though, even if you overclock or have a chance it would be slim and not very affective unless you are very keen.
