DFI is great...but if you fry something, youre screwed, because they have no customer/Tech support.

Either Asus or Intel; or DFI. Intel's Bad Axe / Bad Axe 2 are amazing motherboards. I own one, and, you can raise the FSB past 450 with the stock passive cooling. Also, DFI's Infinity P965-S Motherboard is great with it's solid caps. Lastly, Asus makes great AMD Motherboards, like the A8N32-SLi Motherboard. They also make amazing Intel boards - like the P5N32-E and P5B-Deluxe.

You really should add Intel to the list since they are one of the biggest (if not the biggest) mobo/chipset manufactors?
Once again...

I can't say that Asus is the best, but it is the best motherboard for my experience and knowledge level (mid-range).

I have used Gigabyte, Asus, DFI, A-Bit and some OEM boards.

I have had the best "user-happiness" from Asus.
