X-Wind Installation

Thread Starter
A friend of mine is looking into buying this CPU cooler, except hes worried about installation. The CPU cooler he has now looks like this http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...?EdpNo=1272112.

This is the cooler he is looking to get this.

http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...206&CatId=1588

How do you go about setting this up?

Thanks
Better half.

Btw im the dude he asked for.

If you look in the second pic of the thing it shows a diagram.

From what I can see you put the bracket on first, then you put the heatsink on top of your processor and using two more screws you screw the heatsink in.

Plus, that looks like a Zalman ripoff unless Ultra just bought it and resold it with their name on it.

as for installation goes i don't know, i've never seen someone install it, but

it looks like a cheap rip off of a zalman cnps 7700. why don't you just get a zalman cnps 7700 alcu, full copper is way heavy.

Think I just found one :

Another thing, For the rear case fan to take hot air out what fan should I get. What's a sufficient amount of cfm?

IDK if it will fit, stock HSF is 90mm and the fan you linked is a 120mm, not counting the added diameter for the fins.
How much room above the cooler?

Not a clue in the world and I can't measure and my psu has a bunch of wires running up there to hook up the mobo.

Soab I can't believe I have to stick with this **** **** stock cooler that keeps my cpu at 71c!

Im ready to put a hole through my screen very soon!
