I'm in the US so I don't know where you usually shop? But, here you go:

Asus P5N32-E
~£100
E6420 (Should easily OC to 3000MHz) ~£108
G.Skill DDR2800 HZ ~£75
Antec Truepower Trio 650W ~£98
Tuniq Tower- For cooling the CPU ~£48
BFG 8800GTS 640MB ~£220
HD=Your choice, dont know how much space you need? But, maybe something like this?:
WD Caviar 250GB 16mb Cache £44
Case=Your choice, everyone has their own style for this but, maybe something like this?:
Antec Ninehundred ~£58

Total= ~£755

(a little over your budget but, it's a little hard to build a gaming rig with DX10 and C2D for less, one that will perform halfway decent anyhow.)

You can get some other for less money with same performance!
Just get a ASUS P5N-E SLi with an E6300 and some 2GB DDR2 800 Rams!
If you are not gaming in 1920x1280 or up you can get the cheaper 8800GTS 320MB!
And for what does that rig need a 150$ PSU? I can´t see any 2900XT Crossfire so you should be fine with an Enermax Liberty 500W or some in that area!

what website you get these prices from?
Those prices are way too low for UK parts, I don't think they include VAT.

£500 is a little low for a C2D with DX!0 since according to many the cheapest card that will play DX10 well is an 8800GTS.

You could just get away with it with £600 though you'd have to watch your airflow with that cheap case. The PSU isn't the best either.

That's on http://overclockers.co.uk

EDIT: If you can't stretch to the build with the 8800GTS this is probably the best you can get for £500ish

Whoops, cut off the VAT and Total: VAT = £76.01 Total = £510.38

you could save on the processor and get an e4300 as these can hit the 3ghz mark with decent cooling

At the most, for MMO's, a 7 series. An 8 series would be overkill on games such as WoW.
