Weird Error

Thread Starter
Hi. I would like some of your opinions on a BSOD error I'm getting. I've isolated the problem to occur when I unplug the ethernet cable from my router and replug it in, when it syncs up again, I get the BSOD. I've flashed the BIOS to the new beta version but it still happens. I've updated all of the drivers as fas as I can think? The router I'm using, which I think is buggy, is the Linksys 55AG v2. Thanks for any help!!!

i don't really know. the BSOD doesn't stay up long enough for me to write down an error code. it only happens when the router loses sync w/the computer, like if it drops the internet connection and i have to unplug the power to the router in order to access it again -- the router itself sometimes locks up. i've never seen this error before. i'm kind of looking for anyone else who's maybe had this type of error/crash.

thanks for the tips. i'll try a firmware upgrade for the router but last time i did that, it made me lag in the games. i'll probably just have to end up buying a new router.

You should try administrator alerts. Go to Control Panel > Classic View > Administrative tools > Then Event Viewer. On the left side go to System and look through the errors for either Error number 1001 or 1003. That should give you the bugcheck ID numbers for your BSOD problem
