Thread Starter
my system is an abit aw9d-max mobo c2d E6600 and 2gig of g skill 6400hz
my bios wont let me create a cpu ram divider i have to go with its options so my question is which ones the best i can have 1:1 cpu-ram 380@3.4ghz ,2:3 cpu 334@3.03ghz ram 481@962mhz or last but not least the one i use (i know i should use 1:1) is 4:5 cpu 385@3.46hz ram 501@1.01ghz you see the way i look at it is if i use 1:1 my memory isnt even running at stock speeds it runs at like 780mhz but if i use 4:5 my cpu is oced and my ram is oced aswell but i will let you guys decide

ps i have had a lot of system crashing since i have used 4:5

cheers kingy

What voltages are you running. I'm sure those HZ should be able to do 1000MHz. The 2:3 divider OC that you listed isn't too bad though either.

get your ram as high as possible, more bandwith is better!

Is there a "Sync" option for your RAM? I use that and its 1:1.

I think that's the 1:1 he spoke of in the beginning but he didn't want to because it was underclocking his ram.

Nah. Running a 400MHz FSB with 500MHz DDR2 is pretty normal to see. A lot of Intel chipset like to run that 4:5 ratio. You wont see anything bad about running it faster if it's stable. You will see improved benches but that's about all.

so your saying the higher the ram runs the better performance?

Exactly, as long as it's stable.
