And for C2D I'm rocking 500Mhz FSB 24/7 at ease. Oh yeah let me mention... I had an Evga 680i AR, A1, and Asus P5N32-E SLI 680i all on water for the NB. NONE of them would get my E6300 over 490MHz FSB. My Evga's would do 480Mhz, the Asus would do 490. You tell me to do the research and guess what, I have with my own money.

I'm not just pulling my recommendations from the place the sun doesn't shine. I'm going off personal expeirences. It took me a good month to get the Evga to hit 480MHz FSB. I popped the P5K outta the box, changed the CPU VCore and Memory Voltage and left the rest at auto. I then put the FBS to 490 and it booted right up 100% stable. I have since worked up to 504MHz FSB but due to the 500MHz FSB strap I have moved back down to 499MHz FSB.

What else would you like to know?
Simply, you didn't provide me with a controlled comparison between the two with actual visible data... so saying the P5K is better than the Evga 680i has not been proven in the slightest.

But, most people on these forums are pretty honest so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you are telling the truth with your above post. (There is no just way I can make any conclusions up to this point, however). But I do believe you.

I wasn't attempting to annoy or anger you... but everyone must understand that they can't go around believing everything they here or make decisions based on claims that aren't backed up. And it's even more important when someone may be using this information to make decisions regarding possible hardware purchases. I think you'd even agree with me there. No hard feelings.

I try my best to make unbiased claims when it comes to someone else's money. I don't have any hard feelings toward you at all. I understand that there is no exact science to overclocking and every board will vary with it's performance.

I've used 3 680i boards. All had similar results. I can't definitely say one way or the other. In my personal experience, which is all we can go on here, the P5K has been better.

I do how ever believe the 680i is lacking in quad performance badly and I do believe this to have been proven to an extent on these very forums.

The first screen is the best I could pull on the Asus P5N32-E SLI 680i. The second sreen is the best I could pull on the Evga, and the third and fourth are my P5K.

Those are great results. I'm planning on eventually upgrading to a quad (probably q6600), and I hope I can overclock it well with my 680i. If not, maybe I'll have to switch to the P5K too.

You may be falling onto the "It's new so it must be the best" bandwagon....
Research it at XS, VictorWang, eva2000 and several others have reach frequencies that no P965 nor 680i could reached.....

I'll just give you today's example: http://www.ocforums.com/showthread.php?t=515957

Wow, that's really amazing... what about dual core comparisons?

Nasgul... Did I tell you lately... That I love? Did I tell you lately... There no one else above you?

You're kinda like a Designated Hitter. Always coming through when Intel chipsets need you.
